Following her high school graduation, she began her career in real estate. Throughout the years she had been blessed with success. Although Kim had achieved much monetarily, she knew that she was not fulfilling her true purpose. On a whim Kim traveled abroad to visit her friend in Ethiopia in 2007. Kim was more passionate in Ethiopia than ever before in her life and felt that her true purpose in life was to help serve those in need. After much prayer and consideration, Kim made the decision to move to Ethiopia with her dear friend Frank to help two local Ethiopians develop a children’s project. Kim also wanted to insure all support that was given was used in the best possible way. After living there for several months, they returned to the U.S. and began to share their heart and experiences while in Ethiopia.
After years of helping support the local children’s project, Kim opened her own project in Ethiopia. With all that she experienced in her 5 years there she felt she had a very clear vision on her heart and in her mind of what this new project would be and was excited to get to work.
Kim’s continually growing faith, allows her to be ready for any changes in her life, both big and small. Kim is currently travels between Ethiopia and California regularly. She is continually seeking new ways to empower her local staff to bring the children and project to greater levels. Kim also has a passion for others experiencing the beauty God revealed to her in Ethiopia and leads regular mission trips for high school and college students. Unforgotten Faces is strengthened by the support of the countless compassionate volunteers in the United States and abroad. Gods direction, dedication and faith is what created Unforgotten Faces and Kim believes this dedication and faith will continue the mission of serving others in need wherever God may lead her and hopefully many others. It is Kim’s true desire and passion to see all people operating in the will and plan God has so uniquely and specially planned for them and she does all she can both near and far to do her part in helping see that come to be!
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
The Unforgotten Faces team is working hard to offer different ways to support all the work that we are doing in Ethiopia. Coming Soon will be personal children support with optional full family support as well as some other options for you to be able to support exactly how you would like.
Though monitary donations are a very important aspect of UF being able to do the work we do, there are many more ways you can support our project. Feel free to contact our team direct to see how you can help.
The Unforgotten Faces team would like to thank each and every person who has supported our work in any way. Your generous and loving hearts make all that our team does possible. Our sincere thanks for your past and continued support!
