Unforgotten Faces, is a 501C-3 based out of California and operating in Ethiopia. The UF Ethiopian team is more like a family, small but mighty, consisting of all local Ethiopians and UF’s founder, Kim Zember.
Unforgotten Faces’ children’s project in Debre Zeit, Ethiopia is based around support to single parents and their children who fall below the poverty line. UF currently provides for their 72 children; breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday, school fees, all necessary education materials (uniforms, shoes, backpacks, workbooks, pencils, sharpeners, etc), daily tutoring, full medical care as well as sanitation materials for each child and their family given on a monthly basis.
Unforgotten Faces believes that all children deserve a chance at a healthy life and a bright future has seen strongly that with daily meals, medical care, a solid educational foundation and belonging to a loving family, helps lead children toward this goal. Unforgotten Faces aims to meet all of their children’s needs while striving to show them Jesus’ love. UF trusts in doing so the children grow up with the opportunity to follow the vision God has put in their hearts, leading to be positive influences within their country or wherever God may lead them.
The UF team works alongside the 46 parents of these children in a variety of different ways, including income generating programs and business training, in order to help these single parents work toward self-sustainability and overall be who God has designed them to be for their children and for the community they live within.
